Ads on Giftanapp
What would you guys think of having ads on here? I applied for the google ad sense program to see if they would even do it. If I do end up putting them on here, the revenue would be used to pay for a domain name and be fuel for gifting/contests. The positives of having them out weigh the negatives I think, especially if it really takes off.

Re: Ads on Giftanapp
Ads sound great! As long as they're not everywhere! I have an Adsense because I get paid for my YouTube videos and you should be accepted. They don't really deny people, but it'll take about a day or two to be accepted. So, ads sound good to me.

A few ads wouldn't bother me. If they could eventually become relevant to the subject. i.e. Ads for iOS games, that would be ideal.

They'll be relevant to iOS in some way. The way adsense works makes the ads related to your content. It may be cases, or screen protectors, stuff like that. It won't be ads for viagra alternatives, don't worry
Re: Ads on Giftanapp
I got one ad working to the right of the forum. The one at the top is a forumotion ad, which cant be disabled without site credits. They're not too obtrusive at least. Once I get some decent traffic on here I'll disable the forumotion ad and buy a personalized domain name. It'll have to be a .net though, cause the .com is taken already
Re: Ads on Giftanapp
The top ad should change each time you load the page, hopefully it doesn't go to a flashy one too often.
Re: Ads on Giftanapp
Notice anything different? No forumotion ad! I removed it for registered users, and the address is now Giftanapp.net, although Giftanapp.forumotion.com should still direct you here.
Re: Ads on Giftanapp
The domain costs about $25 a year, and removing the ads is about $12 for 6 months. A little steep compared to some other sites, but hosting is free, so I think it's worth it.
Re: Ads on Giftanapp
Yeah it's taken by one of those companies that buys domains in bulk and charges crazy amounts of money for them. I think .net is okay though. It was between .net, .org, and .biz.
Re: Ads on Giftanapp
That sucks!
Yeah .net is ok, but everyone remembers .com
But .net is still pretty good!
